iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max feature enhanced battery, A20 Pro chip, and adjustable camera aperture
As expected, Apple has officially unveiled the new iPhone 18 Pro lineup, distinguished by new finishes, the most powerful A20 Pro chip in the series to date, a more powerful and faster-charging battery, and a new camera system featuring variable aperture and advanced capabilities.
According to Apple CEO John Ternus during the company's latest event, the next generation of iPhones aims to take these capabilities to the next level. In line with circulating rumors, the Pro and Pro Max models are the first to launch, boasting advanced features alongside a refreshed design.
Camera and imaging software
Consistent with earlier rumors, the cameras introduce new features—most notably the adjustable aperture—combined with software enhancements to deliver more "powerful" image and video capture capabilities. The main Fusion sensor retains its 48MP resolution but now incorporates six blades that allow for gradual aperture adjustment, offering four manual settings within the Camera app.
